Calciomercato revealed Man Utd are ready to sign striker Rasmus Hojlund after acquiring Andre Onana.

Rasmus Hojlund has been identified as a striker on Man Utd’s priority transfer list and the club are now restarting discussions with Atalanta over a potential deal.

Calciomercato reckons the Red Devils had ‘first contact’ with Atalanta earlier in the summer. They are willing to offer 40 million euros (£34 million) to sign the 20-year-old.

Man Utd will ‘expected’ return to the negotiating table, after completing the transfer of Andre Onana. Atalanta is said to value Hojlund at €70m (£60m).

Meanwhile, Calciomercato assesses that the Red Devils can own the signature of the Danish striker at a better price, like how they did in the Mason Mount deal.

Accordingly, Chelsea initially quoted more than £70 million for Mount, but Man Utd was eventually able to negotiate it down to £55 million at sight, plus £5 million in surcharges.

Hojlund has scored a total of 16 goals and 7 assists in the last two seasons, playing for Sturm Graz and Atalanta. His potential is great when experts liken him to the “new Haaland”.
