Jude Bellingham has reveɑled that his two new Real Madrid teammates have been particularly helpful in helping him learn Spanish.
The midfielder has completed his first week of training for Madrid following a £113m transfer in June.
The 20-year-old has been signed for a record fee for an English player, agreeing to a six-year deal with the club, and will follow in the footsteps of fellow Englishmen Gareth Bale and David Beckham – who also played for the La Liga giants.
And Bellingham says his new teammates have helped him adjust to life in Spain.
“Lucas Vázquez and Brahim Díaz are probably my biggest Spanish teachers,” Bellingham told the club’s media channels.
‘People are chipping away and teaching me bad words. I can’t wait to try them.’
He added that one of the biggest challenges so far has been adapting to the heat of the workout, although so far he ‘feels well and good’.
Bellingham also had praise for veteran midfielder Toni Kroos.
‘Toni Kroos is a master. One thing I noticed was the details of his past,’ Bellingham said of the German. ‘The ball just dropped wherever he wɑnted, all the time.
‘Having watched Kroos from the outside, it was a pleasure to observe him up close. It’s great to be able to take the ball from him, show him what I can do, and see how our skills can match up.’
The Birmingham City academy graduate, who has scored 24 goals in 132 games with Borussia Dortmund, could also play in a higher position for the Galacticos, with rᴜmors suggesting Ancelotti could opt to switch to a four. -3-2-1. system.
The England star, who was a mainstay for Gareth Southgate’s side at the 2022 World Cup, featured in all but three of Dortmund’s Bundesliga matches last season.
His side missed out on winning the German title last season in a drɑmatic final day that saw rivals Bayern Munich snɑtch the title right under their noses.
