DECLAN RICE’s £105 million transfer to Arsenal is now official.
The English legend leaves West Ham after six years after guiding the squad to victory in the Europa Conference League the year before.
Declan Rice is now officially an Arsenal player
He has signed a long term deal
Declan Rice has left the Club, West Ham has confirmed in a tweet that reads, “We can confirm Declan Rice has left the Club.”
Declan Rice, an England international, was later welcomed by Arsenal with the following statement: “England international Declan Rice has joined us from West Ham United on a long-term contract.”
After the two London teams agreed on a payment schedule, Declan Rice, 24, has officially signed a deal. By 2025, Arsenal will pay £100 million, plus $5 million in bonuses.
He moved from East to North London for £105 million, making him the most expensive English footballer in history. However, if certain circumstances are met, Jude Bellingham’s transfer to Real Madrid, which may cost $115 million, might surpass this.
On Sunday, Rice boards the plane with the Arsenal team for their preseason tour of America.
“We’re really happy that Declan is joining us,” manager Mikel Arteta stated. He is a footballer of extraordinary talent who has been representing England and the Premier League at a high level for a number of seasons.
Declan is an extraordinary player who has the potential to be very successful at this club, and he is bringing undeniable quality to the team.
Declan, who is only 24 years old, has extensive Premier League experience. He has led a highly talented West Ham club, and as we have all seen, he recently won a European championship.
We are quite happy that he is joining us because of the responsibilities and position he has assumed.
Rice will reportedly don the No. 41 shirt for Arsenal.
