Eagled-eyed Fans of Inter Miami may have noticed that Sergio Busquets, their new signing, has been out with other renowned soccer players who have been rumored to be interested in joining their squad.
This Thursday, the legendary former Barcelona midfielder posted a photo to Instagram with his former Nou Camp teammate Jordi Alba; the two were backstage at a performance by the Columbian singer-songwriter Maluma.
Alba is a free agent after leaving Barcelona and has been strongly linked with a move to Miami, following in the footsteps of Busquets and Lionel Messi. But it appears the duo were not the only Miami targets at the gig.
Maluma himself shared a picture on his own Instagram feed meeting Sergio Ramos who, according to bombshell reports in Spain at the weekend, is just ‘a step away’ from signing for Miami too.
While Ramos didn’t appear in a picture with Alba and Busquets, Maluma was wearing the same clothes in both pictures – suggesting they were all there together. Maluma’s most recent show was in Seville on July 1.
Maluma, a Colombian singer-songwriter, partied with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Maluma also met another target for Inter Miami, Sergio Ramos, in his own photos.
Ramos even signed a PSG shirt for the Columbian star after posing for two photos.
Ramos, who is also a free agent, has spent the last two seasons with Messi at Paris Saint-Germain in France.
Again, Busquets and Alba did not appear in any of the pictures he uploaded from the event, but he still included the message, “Always a pleasure to see you my brother.” I appreciate the gift. Until then, Maluma.
The 37-year-old World Cup-winning defender recently traveled to the United States for vacation. He watched UFC in Florida before traveling to New York with his wife Pilar Rubio.
Rubio was excited to see some of the finest artwork on display when they visited The Met and The Moma there.
One of the things we’ve been wanting to do for a while. Unforgettable encounters: Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” and Karl Lagerfield’s “A Line of Beauty”… a complete dream come true, she added.
Ramos has been mentioned in connection with a return to the Spanish league and the Saudi league, where his former Real Madrid teammates Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently competing.
But it now seems extremely likely that he will be traveling to the United States.
Ironically, Maluma uploaded a photo of himself wearing a PSG jersey; Ramos may need to get him an Inter Miami shirt soon.
Ramos and Pilar Rubio recently spent time on vacation in New York.
Ramos, who is headed to Miami Lionel Messi recently departed Paris Saint-Germain in France.
If Miami signs all four players, it will have a seismic impact on both the team that David Beckham co-owns and the reputation of Major League Soccer as a whole. Ramos and Beckham spent two seasons at Real Madrid together.
Although there hasn’t been a formal announcement, Miami is preparing to introduce Messi and Busquets at the team’s DRV PNK Stadium on July 16.
Miami is hoping that Messi will make his Leagues Cup debut on July 21 against Cruz Azul.
The squad will play against Columbus in their next MLS match on Wednesday in an effort to move up the Eastern Conference standings.
