On Saturday morning, the Reds began preparations for the 2023–24 season, with a number of the team’s senior players engaging in preliminary drills and physical assessments throughout the day.

As part of his injury recovery, Calvin Ramsay, who will spend the upcoming season on loan with Preston North End, was also present at the base.
