Éder Milito, a defender for Real Madrid, has given his approval to the Brazilian Football Confederation’s (CBF) selection of Fernando Diniz as the interim head coach of the national side until the potential arrival of Carlo Ancelotti. The CBF takes the Italian coach for granted for the Copa America the following year because he has a contract with the Spanish side till the middle of 2024.

The 25-year-old defender, who has consistently been a part of teams since Tite’s arrival in 2018, believes that if the double is real, everything will work out.

– Ancelotti and Diniz are lovely individuals. The team is in good hands, I’m convinced of that. I wish them well in their careers. He stated during an exclusive interview with ge while visiting Sertozinho (SP), where he was born and raised, that they are decent people.

Ancelotti has been in charge of Milito in the Merengue squad since 2021. They shared six titles between them. The defender claimed that his friendship with the Italian was ideal.

– Work, it’s a good chat. There are also our jokes. It’s a wonderful connection. I thank God that we have a father-son bond. I’m overjoyed that he feels this way about me. He makes that clear to everyone, not just to me. People pay close attention to him since he is well-liked, honest, and speaks his opinion. He is constantly thinking of others’ needs.

Furthermore, according to Éder Milito, Ancelotti and the Brazilian players Rodrygo and Vincius Jr. discussed the “Brazilian National Team” in private at Real, albeit with restraint.

He started making jokes about being there already [in the national team], but we didn’t even touch on those topics since they are so delicate. He’s always making jokes with us. We didn’t talk about it much, but occasionally we made jokes about the fact that he is our coach at Real Madrid and will also be our coach with the national team. He is [enthusiastic and joyful]. Although they are far apart, Milito and the interim Fernando Diniz have an excellent relationship, according to the player. When the defender was still a member of the So Paulo team, they first met.

– Diniz used to visit training sessions in So Paulo while Rogério Ceni was in the city when I first met him. Everybody talked. He has a really generous nature. He has a jittery manner on the field, but I believe that is typical for the individual, the defender said.
