UPDATE: Liverpool is willing to trade FOUR starters for Kylian Mbappé

Liverpool is reportedly interested in trading for Kylian Mbappe. Reports suggest that the Reds have made a hefty offer to Paris Saint-Germain in an effort to sign the contract renegade.

Mbappe’s contract with PSG will end next year. French club believes it is foolish to let one of the world’s finest players leave for nothing.

There is intense competition among European clubs to sign the France sensation. El Chiringuito TV’s Edu Aguirre stated this week that Liverpool had made an offer of around £170 million for a player.

Instead, the Reds might try to sign Mbappe by including players in a trade. Express Sport takes a look at four players who could be traded to Anfield in exchange for cash.

Thiago Alcântara

As part of their midfield overhaul, Liverpool has already made two additions. Jurgen Klopp may not be finished adding players like Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.

Thiago had an injury-plagued season last year, and some have speculated that at age 32, he may now be too slow for the Premier League. The Spaniard could still help PSG in the French league, and his Champions League experience would be valuable.

Fabinho

Fabinho had his worst season at Liverpool last year. If he were to go, it would be necessary to bring in a new defensive midfielder, as neither Mac Allister nor Szoboszlai play that position.

Klopp will have to make a call if Fabinho can rediscover the form he showed during his first four years with the club. Otherwise, he may try to unload him on PSG.

The Great Diogo Jota

Jota missed time earlier in the season with an injury and didn’t become a regular starter until the latter half of the year. The hat tricks he scored against Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and Southampton signaled an offensive breakthrough for him.

However, with Mbappe now on the team, it will be harder for him to maintain a regular playing schedule. His 26 years on Earth could make him a valuable addition to PSG.

A. Nunez, Darwin

Maybe it’s too soon to write out Darwin’s chances of making the Liverpool roster. He showed flashes of his brilliance in his debut season of football in England.

But his support waned as the campaign progressed. Both he and Mbappe would be too big of a distraction for Liverpool, and he may cost a significant chunk of the transfer sum PSG would demand.
