Gabriel Jesus lined up in attack alongside Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah, who missed a chance to put his side 1-0 up in the first half.

Ismael Kone of Watford instead scored the opening goal, and they held onto that lead until 10 minutes into the second half.

After Amario Cozier-Duberry was denied, Marquinhos scored off a rebound as a result of one of Arteta’s nine substitutions at the break.

Arsenal started Ben White and Gabriel in addition to Cedric Soares and Rob Holding, who both assisted in the equalizer.

After signing to a new long-term contract with the team, Reiss Nelson took part in his debut game.
