Lis, a product of the renowned youth program of Benfica, is coming off of a successful season in the Portuguese first flight. The young player made more than 50 competitive appearances and established himself as a key member of Benfica’s midfield unit.

 

As a result of the 23-year-old’s impressive performances, Barcelona is eyeing him as a potential long-term replacement for Bsqets, who recently joined Inter Miami.

But in order to recruit Florentino this summer, Barcelona might have to sell off a sizable portion of their assets. According to Gianlᴜca Di Marzio, Benfica are asking for a fee of aroᴜnd €30 million for tҺe services of tҺe yoᴜng midfielder.

 

The 23-year-old has a contract with Benfica through 2027 and was recognized early on for having a lot of promise. The Portuguese giants, as a result, do not want to sell their star player this season for a cut-price deal.

Due to opposition from AC Milan, Barcelona’s pursuit of Florentino could become significantly more difficult. After Sandro Tonali’s departure for Newcastle, the Rossoneri are currently searching for a new midfielder. They have determined that Lis is the best option.

 

With Newcastle paying a fortune for Tonali, Milan have the chance to develop and shouldn’t have any trouble budgeting for the Portugese this season. Barcelona, in contrast, is not even in a position to guarantee the 23-year-old’s quick registration.
