Forward Kylian Mbappe, a member of France’s national team, was welcomed by crowds when he arrived in Cameroon for the first time.
The victor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup was Wilfried’s first child; he was born in Paris to an Algerian mother and a Cameroonian father.
The forward will participate in a number of events, one of which being a trip to a school for the deaf and hard of hearing.

African News reports that funds from Mbappé’s nonprofit organization “Inspired By KM” were used to renovate the school, which is situated in the Yaounde suburbs of Cameroon.
The 24-year-old will take part in a football game against a nearby team as well as a basketball game.
He will go to his father’s village on Saturday.
Why did Mbappe move to France from Cameroon?
Mbappe’s father, Wilfred Mbappe, had said he wanted his son to represent Cameroon, but other officials demanded payment.
Yahoo quotes his father as saying:
Initially, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but the Cameroon Football Federation required me to pay a fee that I was not required to pay. “The French made no charges.”
The well-known Samuel Eto’o will not be faced by Mbappe.
The Frenchman won’t see Eto’o, according to Yannick Noah, president of Vent d’Etoudi, a country’s second-division club.
RFI claims that Noah is planning Mbappe’s itinerary and that he and Eto’o are at conflict.
The Village Noah tourism and recreation complex, where Mbappé will live, was founded by the former tennis champion, who continues to be one of France’s most popular public characters.
