Granit Xhaka formally parted company with Arsenal after seven years of service. The Swiss midfielder signed a $ 21 million contract and moved to Bayer Leverkusen. Xhaka signed a five-year deal that will keep him with the team until June 2028.
Xhaka put on an outstanding showing in the 2022–2023 season. The 30-year-old great joined forces with Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey to form a potent midfield three for Arsenal. When viewed in light of Arsenal’s recent acquisition of Declan Rice from West Ham United, Xhaka’s decision to go is entirely understandable.
