With Lá Lia, FC Barcelona has been able to successfully fend off midfield prodigy Gi as a member of the first team, which is a major victory. The 18-year-old has also been accused of stealing the Blaugrana’s No. 6 shirt.
Gai had signed a new contract with Barça in September of the previous year, tying his future to the organization through 2026. However, due to financial fair play restrictions, his tenure as a first-team player under the new deal wasn’t quite complete at that point.
Barcelona was able to reject its new agreement on January 14 after obtaining a preventative measure from a court. However, the precautionary measure was abandoned a few months later, which prompted Gasi to resign from his youth team contract.
The 18-year-old’s contract had a provision that, if not objected to before July 1, would have permitted him to leave for free during the summer.
But Barcelona wasn’t worried about that because the midfielder hadn’t even considered leaving the La Liga winners.
It was previously reported that Galia’s resignation was no longer a problem, and now it has been made official with the 18-year-old appearing on La Lia’s website as a first-team member wearing the shirt No. 6.
Apart from Gási, Barcelona is attempting to reject the new contracts of players such as Ronald Aujo, Inaki Pena, Marc Alonso, and Sergi Roberto.
The departures of Jordi Albà and Sergio Busquets have made space for the resistance of four players, two of them are anticipated to be Gási and Araujo. The club will need more exits in order to reject the contracts of the aforementioned players as well as any incoming new faces.
Alfredo Martinez is currently asserting that Gaidi’s administration has been completed by obtaining yet another precautionary measure from the court, similar to what happened in January, and is not yet within FFP. And if the choice is reversed, he may return to his youth team contract.
