According to an exclusive source from Football Transfer, the Gunners are considering sending an offer to Mbappe’s agent.
Kylian Mbappe’s future is becoming a topic of much interest. The French striker has refused to activate the extension clause with Paris Saint-Germain, which means he will leave on a free transfer after another season.
There have been speculations about PSG wanting to sell Mbappe right in the summer transfer window and Real Madrid began to approach the striker born in 1998.
If Los Blancos offer enough weight, they can completely detonate the Mbappe blockbuster. But given the current financial situation of Los Blancos, it is still not ruled out that the French striker will leave when his contract expires.
According to Football Transfer, Arsenal are also looking to recruit Mbappe if the above case happens. They have considered sending the agent of the former AS Monaco star an offer.
With the Gunners gradually regaining their position in the domestic arena, they completely have a basis to convince Mbappe to land at Emirates.
Mbappe will be free to negotiate with interested overseas clubs from January 1 and sign a pre-contract agreement. Now Arsenal want to get in there early by making clear their intentions now.
However, the report acknowledges that Arsenal’s chances of landing Mbappe remain remote.
Real Madrid remain the most likely suitors for his signature, given their long-standing links to him.
However, Arsenal hope to present themselves as a very genuine and realistic Plan B for Mbappe. And should a move to the Bernabeu fail to come off, then the Gunners are reportedly waiting in the wings for his signature.
PSG for their part are hoping to still persuade Mbappe to sign an extension to his deal. However, there is an acceptance at the French giants that the 2023/24 season will be Mbappe’s last in a PSG shirt with hopes of him agreeing an extension rapidly fading.
