Despite the typical hype, Manchester United’s new home kit will not be worn by a handful of their players.

Erik ten Hag needs improvements at center forward, in midfield, and between the posts if he is to build on a successful first season in command.

But because Financial Fair Play regulations have limited his budget to £120 million, United will need to raise money by selling off players who are no longer needed.

In an effort to generate £100 million for new recruits, as Mail Sport reported earlier this week, United will consider offers for up to 13 players this summer.

Harry Kane of Tottenham, Victor Osimhen of Napoli, Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta, Declan Rice of West Ham, and Mason Mount of Chelsea fall beyond their price range until they do.

The necessity for United to consider bids for regulars in their team is evident, even though this is far from a fire sale and none of the 13 players involved will be departing.

They may be divided into three groups: those that will surely be sold this summer, those for which United will consider offers, and those that might be bought out at the proper price.

The entire Old Trafford career of Van de Beek has been one unfortunate tale.

The following season was much worse because Van de Beek was typically only allowed a few minutes off the bench to demonstrate his abilities.

He was loaned to Everton in the middle of the season, but due to injuries, he only participated in seven games.

The Dutchman was gravely incorrect if he believed that when his old Ajax manager Ten Hag arrived, his circumstances would alter.

Even before suffering the terrible knee injury that terminated his season in January, Van de Beek had no chance of playing since Ten Hag had a highly efficient midfield with Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Bruno Fernandes.

Fred (£20m)

It is quite amazing that the Brazilian midfielder has appeared in 213 games for United considering how often he appears out of place.

After being acquired for £47 million in 2018, Fred quickly won over Solskjaer, who paired him at the base of his midfield with Scott McTominay.

However, despite his efforts and perseverance, Fred also displays perplexing play in which he appears to be entirely out of his element.

Even though last season under Ten Hag may have seen some of his best form in five years at the club, United should let him go given Fulham’s desire. SELL

When Elanga was scoring goals against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League knockout stages, he was heralded as the up-and-coming star.

Sadly, the Swedish winger’s reputation has suffered since Ten Hag joined the team, and he played very little in the second half of the last campaign after surprisingly not being loaned out in January.

However, United shouldn’t be hasty in allowing an academy graduate to leave so soon because Elanga is still only 21 years old.

Even though Alejandro Garnacho’s emergence and the arrival of Antony have created competition in the wide attacking areas, they are still only a few injuries away from seeming underwhelming. KEEP

Given Luke Shaw’s performance and the addition of Tyrell Malacia, Brazilian international Telles was viewed as an oversupply at left defender, but he ultimately had the last laugh when loan side Sevilla won the Europa League.

And to make it even sweeter, they eliminated United along the way.

However, there doesn’t seem to be a clear path for Telles to return to the United team, so if they can get £10 million back on a £15.4 million investment made three years ago, it’s worth it. SELL

An Old Trafford career that had the potential to be excellent but fell apart due to the changing of the guard at center back and other signings.

The Ivory Coast international has largely declined since his debut season under Jose Mourinho, which was the 2016–17 campaign.

Bailly might have thought he was a better option than Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, but the managers didn’t agree, and he kept falling down the list.

It’s not a good indication that Ten Hag preferred Lindelof and even Shaw above Maguire when they were not present.

Despite how difficult it will be for him to leave Old Trafford, Maguire needs to depart this summer and receive a regular schedule of games at a new club if he wants to start for England at Euro 2024.

(£20 million) Dean Henderson

Given the uncertainty surrounding David de Gea’s performances and the fact that a new deal hasn’t yet been reached, United do need a new goalkeeper.

Ten Hag is seeking for a goalkeeper who is more at ease with the ball, thus there have been discussions with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, who would cost roughly £40 million.

Henderson doesn’t seem to be the ready-made substitute who may potentially save them some money.

According to rumors, he irritated Ten Hag and won’t be staying.

He spent the previous season on loan with Nottingham Forest, who would be interested in making it a permanent arrangement. SELL

Last summer, it appeared as though Martial was headed for the exits, but a strong preseason tour convinced Ten Hag to give the Frenchman another chance.

Martial scored nine goals, but that turned out to be a false dawn as he was once again sidelined by injuries.

He already seems like a distant memory from the 2019–20 season, when Solskjaer coaxed 23 goals out of him.

It’s time for United to part ways with a player who, at the time of his 2017 signing, showed world-class promise but has now fallen far short. SELL
