Moises Caicedo claims he takes inspiration from two of the best former Premier League players for his style of play

Moises Caicedo claims he takes inspiration from two of the best former Premier League players for his style of play.

Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Brighton, is reportedly a target for Manchester United.

The Times reports that Manchester United is prepared to focus on Moises Caicedo after their most recent offer for Mason Mount was turned down.

Caicedo is a player who Chelsea is interested in as well, so United may be playing some tricks here. The Red Devils, though, would also be crazy to pass up the Ecuadorian international.

Prior to backing out of a deal when Caicedo’s price was just £5 million, United had the opportunity to sign him in 2021. That was genuinely crazy.

Everyone has been won over by Moises Caicedo.

He has also played in three victories for the Seagulls over Manchester United, highlighting the club’s error in not signing him.

According to Moises Caicedo, who was cited by The Sun in 2020, he had a soft spot for the Red Devils and stated he based his style of play on two of the greatest Premier League players at the time.

My favorite team is Manchester United, Caicedo declared. I enjoy watching N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba play because I always learn something new from them.

“They are there for a reason, and I always try to do what they do.”

Since Kante and Pogba left the Premier League, Caicedo has emerged as one of the current generation’s brightest stars.

Caicedo, who is only 21 years old, would be a top-notch acquisition for any elite team.

Caicedo’s qualities were highlighted by Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who thinks there is “no limit” to how far he can develop.

According to him, Caicedo could rank among the top midfielders in both the Premier League and Europe, he told The Athletic.

Caicedo is a good performer both on and off the ball. Nothing that isn’t at the top level is what I see. Because of his youth, he has a lot of room to grow and learn. He has no bounds.

In addition to appearing in 37 of Brighton’s 38 Premier League games last season, he also participated in and scored at the World Cup in Qatar.

Caicedo would be an excellent investment even though he is not the same kind of player as Mason Mount. If only we had acquired his services in 2021.
