UPDATE: Alisson’s latest ιиנυяу forces him to leave Brazil, but Liverpool is not yet concerned

Due to a finger ιиנυяу, Alisson was unable to participate in Brazil’s post-season friendlies, but Liverpool’s preseason shouldn’t cause for concern just yet.

Brazil had two friendlies scheduled against African opponents going into the summer, and Ramon Menezes’ team had mixed results.

Tuesday night saw a 4-1 win over Guinea followed by a 4-2 loss to Senegal, with Sadio Mane scoring twice and smiling for pictures with Alisson and Claudio Taffarel after the game.

It comes as rumors about Carlo Ancelotti leading the Selecao in 2024 are rampant and the national squad is in transition.

Fabinho, the recently-departing Roberto Firmino, and Arthur were all passed over for inclusion in the most recent team, leaving only Alisson from Liverpool.

However, the goalie did not play against Guinea or Senegal since he had to leave practice before the first match.

According to a statement from the Brazilian FA, Alisson “woke up with some pain in the area” after suffering a “small trauma to the little finger.”

The Liverpool goalkeeper, Ederson, started both games in his place and posted a picture of his bandaged finger on his Instagram account on Wednesday.

Alisson was seated on a flight as he prepared to go for his post-season rest and return to the AXA Training Center the following month.

The 30-year-old is anticipated to be among the group that begins preseason on July 11; despite his present ailment, he is not anticipated to miss a significant amount of training.

Alisson’s finger is most likely to heal in a matter of weeks because there is now no indication that it is broken, which would call for a longer course of therapy.

Although his finger is supported and covered in gauze, it doesn’t seem to be completely in a splint.

There is still a risk that he will be out for a little longer, as goalkeepers are more likely than outfield players to have finger problems.

Alisson has a history of minor ailments, and they frequently happen in the preseason. For example, last summer, he missed all but one friendly due to an abdominal problem.

Adrian, who is set to sign a new deal, and Caoimhin Kelleher are anticipated to accompany Liverpool into preseason.

A decision will be made regarding Vitezslav Jaros and Jakub Ojrzynski, while youngster Harvey Davies has joined Crewe on loan and Marcelo Pitaluga might follow him out for a while.
