Roberto Firmino’s mother tried to hold back tears as she heard Liverpool fans sing a song for her son. The Anfield faithful chant with pride “Si Senor” whenever Firmino is on the field and it makes no difference in Jurgen Klopp’s games.

It could certainly be heard ahead of Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League final win over Tottenham in 2019, which took place at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
Liverpool FC team “Boss Night” tweeted a clip of fans chanting in honor of the Brazilian, which was later shown to Firmino’s mother Mariana. Tears soon fell when she was touched by the scene from 2019, that is, 4 years ago.
Mariana watched the clip above with Firmino’s sister and burst into tears saying: “They’re singing a song named after my son. Great to hear it and when we’re there, Marcella. I don’t know how to thank you guys for the love and all you’ve done. It left me speechless. Thank you all so much for this.”
Firmino won every trophy in his eight years at Liverpool.
Firmino himself was in tears at the end of his last Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield. Firmino will leave Liverpool after his contract expires this summer. Firmino’s farewell turned sweet when he himself scored in the last minute to equalize 1-1 for Liverpool against Aston Villa.
Before the match, Firmino said he expected to “cry the whole game”. Firmino said: “After the game, I will cry 100%. It was a special day for me. It will be very emotional for me and my family.”
