It is known that the striker born in 1987 joined the defending champion Saudi Pro League with a 2-year contract with an option to extend for another year. Here, the 2022 Golden Ball receives an income of up to 200 million euros per season including salary, bonus and image copyright.

Before that, it seemed that Benzema would continue to extend his contract and retire at Real Madrid. However, a generous offer from Al Ittihad made the 37-year-old striker change his mind and decide to move to Saudi Arabia.
