NBA expert believes there is ‘huge chance’ King James teaming up with Stephen Curry

The Golden State Warriors have arguably been the biggest nemesis of LeBron James’ NBA career. But what if the King joined forces with Stephen Curry and co.?

There are many rumors surrounding the future of LeBron with the Los Angeles Lakers following their Western Conference Finals exit. The Warriors surprisingly have great odds to land James this summer. The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor recently addressed those rumors and revealed there is a very real chance that LeBron teams up with Curry.

“How soon until Draymond Green begins recruiting LeBron to the Warriors?” O’Connor wondered. “Did it happen as soon as LeBron stepped off the podium Monday night? Will it happen before the Finals begin next Thursday? No one needs a source to tell you those conversations will happen if they haven’t already, given Draymond’s love for LeBron, the Klutch connection, and his history of recruiting.

“Interest between LeBron and the Warriors could be mutual. LeBron is BFFs with Draymond, and he’s already said that Steph Curry is the current player he’d most like to play with.”

Hypothetically, seeing LeBron James and Stephen Curry play for the same team would be a dream come true for NBA fans. Moreover, the two superstars are more than capable of winning at least one NBA title if they decide to join forces this summer.

If LeBron Indeed decides to demand a trade this summer, an offer from the Warriors involving Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and Jonathan Kuminga, could certainly entice the Lakers.

LeBron James And Stephen Curry Should Team Up To Win One Last Ring

It goes without saying that the 2010s were dominated by James and Curry. They faced off in the NBA Finals for four straight years as well.

But what if the two superstars keep their differences aside and play together? Kevin O’Connor thinks they should do that. Why? The answer is simple – to win one last ring before retiring from the league.

LeBron, now more than ever, needs an All-Star shot-creating teammate,” O’Connor wrote. “It’s clear from this postseason that he can’t shoulder the offense alone. That is why Kyrie [Irving] is a potential target for Los Angeles. But in Golden State, Steph, who is no longer at his peak, could use a little extra push too. That’s why Golden State’s summer is so pivotal, as well. The union of Steph and LeBron seems like a match made in heaven, particularly as they enter the twilight of their careers.”

It could be a fairy tale ending to the brilliant careers of LeBron James and Stephen Curry. But it could be a double-edged sword, as it will most likely tarnish their legacies as individual players in the NBA.
